hi folks. Is there alternative to the ad781 for this circuit available? been trying to find one to no avail. And i guess this is common knowledge as to the expense of it   :icon_eek:

that's cheaper than uk anyhow....maybe i'll just find a different pedal to make.

Note that this plan uses TWO 9V batteries.

The low-cost S&H is the LF398. Mouser has 7 thousand under $2, AND in DIP-8 package.

Grossly, the $11 part is 14 times faster than the $2 part; but even the $2 part is plenty fast for great audio capture, more-than-good for bugcrushing.

The pinouts are quite different.



The $2 part needs an external capacitor. Ch may be 1nFd to 10nFd. Socket it and try every cap in your drawers... "bad capture" may be good effects. This cap can go to ground.

LF398 pin 2 Offset may be ignored (left unconnected).

I would need to see a *schematic* to guess how the logic pins must be connected.
