Heres a Crude Auto Sweller. It will need tweeking. Probably a lot.
I don't have the time right now.
It wont work well in all situations, and you will have to alter your playing style.
But that's nothing new, we constantly adapt our style everytime we get new effects.
It may never work well because of the topology.
I suggest tweeking the recifier gain and led driver gain for a start.
Have fun you all.

hey rich, some crude questions - you going to put any bias on (+) IC1A? how come you got R17 and R10, in series? why so much gain on IC1B?
" I will say no more "

Kipper4

I wasnt going to put bias on IC1 + input since it's already on the - input (see R6).
R17 not needed mate. Gain on IC1B is negotiable.

Rectifier D3 should be inside the feedback loop, so its volt drop is cancelled out by the op-amp...

... I always draw them wrong if I don't check first.
Then the envelope should be a bit more efficient.
If it's meant to increase output only when the signal decays - without any slowed attack audible, it probably needs to be slammed into the +rail while the input is strong, then as it decays the LED gets brighter & increases the signal out via the LDR.

R19 & 23 are not needed at all, just wire for those VA feeds.

No, the op-amp + input always needs a voltage reference. Without one being supplied, it will find a random one via leakage, but that could anywhere between 0 and +supply and float about.

Is this a little less rude?
