She's always so positive !!! I just thought I'd share...
I went to alot of messing around, to say the least, I know for sure they pigs are out of the barn.
She and the Rangepig, with their hybrid splicing produce beautiful offspring.
My Miss Piggy doesn't squeal unless she's asked to!!!
The RangePig I have distorts a litte, biases quite reliably.
I like having these characters on board.

Cool, always good to hear when someone is really digging their DIY pedals!  I've been looking to build a small circuit that my clumsy hands can fit into one of those small MXR-style Hammond boxes, and I think the Miss Piggy is a perfect candidate.  Care to share some of your build experiences?  Which transistors did you try, and what are your favorites?  I think I have some 2N5089's and BC183's that I can try, I'll post the results when I get around to building it.

Hear Hear,

I agree!

I use Miss Piggy to nail the guitar sound on "I'm ony happy when it rains" by Garbage. It sounds like a seriously overloaded amp.  Really powerfull sound with a 47uF input cap. I switch to a .01 uf input for some great sweet sound for lead work.  :P

My Rangepig has replaced my SD-1 for my boost box.

Simple and great sounding.:D

Will

Cap sockets of course. Bigger is Bassier, not 'always' a good thing.
I soldered in a 10uf cause I like that by the gain pot. \
Osomeone types 4401, that's what in my active Q1 position Q1b would be a 5088...[?], can't remem...somewhere between 6k8 and 10k bwtween emitters. Smaller k's has less piggy efkt.
Q2 is Bc109 [5089's cool too], trim on collector, IIRC a smaller [like 4k7] tween emitter resistor goes to a 5088.
I use the ~slightly larger Gain pot, then trim it down later, with added R across outer lugs, whatever is best...about 1k4?
 Roloff highs...
Here's the meat...EZ face fron end. Incap blend AND pre-gain...good go have on my FF I'm finding out. Helps the tuning if you want to light uup the input with something like a booster or TS or...
 "that's todays FF IMo.
Q2 mosfet sounds cool...Jfet...Trimpot adjust after each Q swap.
I've put trims on Q1 Collectors but find them less necessary.

I used 8 pin IC pins for each 2 Q1's and Q2's.
That way EZ change Q and Resistance...with IC socket divet on top, the right and left columns...tie the two bottom pins together...these will be your emitter connections...that way you can run your between emitter resistors 'right to left' across the socket for easy removal and replacement..
  C  C [nc]
B   B [connected to each other
  E   E
  ll Rll    resistor connects emitters...

Thanks for the info Pete!  Great idea to use IC sockets, guess I won't have to wait for those transistor sockets to come in... :)

Those 8 pin jobbies are liike they wer designed for piggyback technolgies!!!
Makes it more stable, [having the 'other side' mounted liek that], and easy to keep track of which ones which!
