Hi,i am finalizing my bass tube preamp and now i ran into a small problem.I always assured the hole in the transformer ran through the body of the transformer so i could fasten it with a nut and bold upside down onto my chassis(i had seen more toroidal`s being mounted this way). But when i lifted the sticker i saw the hole is not running through.
Does someone have expirience of mounting the transformer in this way(which obviously means that you drilled the hole through)or do i have to use a pcb or something for mounting?
Thanks in advance!

It just so happens I was looking for the same answer with the same transformer.

You can use a drill bit the same size as the hole and easily punch through the top. That's the only way I could come up with for mounting it for point-to-point wiring.

For extra credit, add some heat sink grease between the transformer and the box to make cooling more efficient. :D
