Hello, I've searched all around for a reference to this, and I couldn't find one (about a half hour of searching here).  I'm all set to use the EH toroidal transformer in my Hotbox clone, but I'm wondering about the tube heater supply.  I'll be using a wall wart (12V) with the transformer, but a wallwart can't be used to heat the 12ax7 filaments, can it?  
Any suggestions?  I've read the huge thread from the FAQ, and it wasn't mentioned there.  I would have asked it there, but that thread's locked. If I've missed something, please just point me to it.   Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

That's an embarassing number of links, Puretube- thanks.  I came across three of those while searching but didn't read the one with my answer in it thoroughly enough.

EDIT: this is all I needed to read:
