Hey has anybody here ever cracked open one of those "Smooth & Slim" units? What's the mojo in there? It sounds like an interesting gimmick but I wanna know if it's just a passive eq . . .

Thanks all

Yup.

Rodgre

yes, it's a simple passive EQ, but it's a great studio tool. I use it semi-regularly to help clean up guitar tones.

Yes...like it a lot.  I was a bit miffed....shelling out $90....opening it to see VERY simple filters.  But the damn thing is built SO well.....Mr. Ayan deserves his money.  Takes the *flab* out of a Twin and helps notes to sing.

Rodgre

Exactly. That thing sounds like it was MADE for a Twin.

So does anyone want to share the schematic?   :D

Would be neat to check it out if it is so simple

It sounds similar to the Craig Anderton notch filter in his book, Electronic Projects for Musicians.
