Beautiful Chris! Is that an etch? Looks like one to me. So how did you achieve the paint job? Orange enclosure, silver sparkle in the etch? Really great look you got there.

The Little Angel is done in a hologram foil and the Wee Beaver was in an orangish foil but it kind of got an antique-stressed, (i.e. @#$%ed up) look when I applied the clear acrylic.
Thanks to both Rick and Slade for all the work they put into the development of both of these great designs.
I love the tiny BC107's I got from the Hammond repair shop for the Wee Beaver!

Very nice! I don't see how that's in any way untidy, but congrats on a beautiful build!

I'm really liking Pigyboy's holofilm, I read up on it yesterday again from the link (thanks) and I've been watching as the builds get smarter and more prof. until we get to the little angel, which is just great.

Do not use Rustoleum clear coat over their hammered paints if you expect it to stay looking hammered.  They react.

hammered paints is already a bad reaction, probably how it was discovered. looks cool. the recessed led makes it look like it is really deep.
