Can anyone ezplain what "powder coating" is and how to do a silk screen on a stompbox? Is there any decent info on the web for DIY'ers? Thanks! :icon_lol:

Powder Coating:  A colored powder is sprayed at a metal object that has been turned into an electromagnet by the spraying system.  The powder sticks, and is then "baked" on so it melts and turns into a VERY tough plastic coating.  Look up the Eastwood Company and "Hot Coat" for an entry level system if you want to do it yourself.  Word on the street is powder-coating is crazy fun because the powder drifts like magic towards the object.

Silk screening: You'll need epoxy ink.  There is so much silkscreening info out there I don't know where to start.  Here's a guide to making cheapie screens: http://www.livejournal.com/community/craftgrrl/3674467.html

You say tomato, I say bite me!  :o :D :D :D   Just kidding!!  Thanks for clearing that up.  I couldn't remember the term to save my life, and couldn't be bothered to look it up.
