Hi !!!
I just finished the Flanger 301 from Tonepad and i have some difficult time to adjust the trim pots...more exactly the one that controls the speed...Its like the effect is getting stuck in one possition, not doing the flanging thing , the speed pot seems to be not working...Besides, some ic  gets a little hot, specially the MN 3007 and 3101...can somebody help me? ???
Thank you !!!

Pierre

...me again, with a very stupid question...
It happends that i have used (by mistake) TL 072 instead of TL 022...   :icon_redface: dont ask me why  :icon_redface:...Can this be the source of the problem...? I dont have any TL 022 to try...
I found that the 12V reg. was the origin of the heat problem in the IC's...I change the MN 3007 and 3001 just in case...but still not have flange sound, as i said, its like it's stucked in one position (very hard to explain in english  :icon_redface:)...

Mark Hammer

I actually had that too.  I found I could produce a kind of flanged sound by moving some controls, but it would not sweep by itself.

Pierre

that's exactly what happends with mine...i get some flange sound adjusting the trims, but not sweep...
Did you find the problem ?, does it work now..?
Thanks for answering !

Pierre

Hi !!!...me again...
I just changed the ic's, now it has TL022 , but it seems that this not was not the problem. I cant get it working, it stills doing some flange sounds when i move the trim pots (specially the one in the middle), but nothing else... the speed pot is not working...I really dont know what is wrong with this one, maybe im just cant figure aut how to set the trims, i dont know...If anyone can help me...please... :icon_redface:
Thank you !!

Pierre

well, i feel stupid  :icon_redface:
Today i decided to take a look (once again) to the pcb and, rigth there in front of my eyes there was this huge solder bridge... :icon_redface:
Now, after tweeking the trims, i have a subtle but very usefull flanger effect. In some settings it sound more like a chorus than a flanger, no jet plan metalic sounds here, but i like it very much...And it's noiseless  :icon_wink:
Another great effect project from Francisco's Tonepad !!

I am running mine off 9 volts without the 12v regulator (feeding 9v to where 12v should be).

301 does all the subtle chorusy sounds, but can also be set to very intense.

yes, it really sounds great !!!
...after playing it for a while, i was wondering if there are some  simple mods to slowering a little the speed and to give the effect a little more deph...
Gracias Francisco !
