I just replaced the 4.7uF electro with one 4uF which i got from a forum member a few days ago.

At first, the difference seemed subtle, if not negligible.
But a closer examination and A/B testing revealed the difference.

I guess we all have read R.G.'s Wah-Wah pedal "gospel", in which he mentions: From 4.7uF on up, little effect on sound.
As it gets smaller, the sound becomes more of a loudness variation and less of a wah.
If this cap is defective, wah pedals sound like volume pedals

So, with a cap slightly smaller than the stock 4.7uF, the wah sounds like...

waaaaaHwaaaaaH

...which means, it's a bit quieter in the "heel down" and it gets relatively louder as it moves to the 'toe down",
while retaining the "wah-wah" thing.

This gives a more realistic "vocality" to the effect, which is quite cool.

definitely worth trying. ;)
