2 circuits, 1 power supply

I'm going to put 2 circuits together inside the same box, how do I wire it so they can both use the same power supply?

hello. its very easy. u just daisy chain them. u can find lots of information herehttp://www.generalguitargadgets.com/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=37&Itemid=70. just click on the power supplies tab and and download the regulated power pdf file. it has a drawing of the daisy chain wiring. u can do that to ur battery as well but will be expensive coz the battery will die soon. i think the best is to put a dc jack on the box which u will connect in the daisy chain way with ur circuits and just use a wall transformer.

Ok I opened the regulated power supply.pdf and took a look at it. I'm a bit confused; do I need to build this in order to use multiple pedals on the same 9v source or are you using it as an example because it shows daisy chaining? Do I just need to connect the + and - of both circuits together and to the battery for it to work? That would mean that I would connect the + to the first circuit then connect that to the + of the second circuit with a wire and then connect the grounds for both circuits together with a wire, right?

  As long as both circuits use the same polarity and Gnd. reference [ie an NPN Neg. Gnd and another NPN Neg Gnd.], both need only to be connected together/to the battery.

Here's a suggestion.

I like to put a small peice of perf with some header pins
in a the box to use as a power/gnd distribution.

The wires from the DC jack connect to pads on the perf and
are then connected to more pads with pins that let you easily
solder to the circuit boards. It also makes it ez to desolder
and protects your DC jack from over heating.

In this pic you can see my power/gnd distribution board.
The perf also holds the LEDs and LED resistors.
There are eight pins for power and gnd to connect to the PCB boards.
One row is 9v+ the other row is gnd.



Here is a pic with both PCB in and connected to the distribution board.

It's time to buy a gun. That's what I've been thinking.
