By the look of the victim's eyes, he never even saw it coming.

Exhibit A: Furby's Intenstines. A.K.A. Stranded hookup wire. How useful is this crap?

Exhibit B: Furby's vocal unit. Ruby amp anyone?

Exhibit C: Furby only had one ear. Does that make it crazy? Of course not!

Exhibit D: 3mm & 5mm Infrared LEDs and an LDR. Tremulus Lune anyone?

Exhibit E: The vitals from the victim are ready for transport to units in need. Furby will become a donor. Includes silicon heart valve diodes, numerous transistors and capacitors.

Just thought you guys might want a laugh...

I wonder if the innards can be modded into some kind of a guitar-signal-proccessing noise maker...

I had a great laugh, by the way. Thanks for making my day. :icon_mrgreen:

Now I want a FURBY!!!!!!!! and yes, I would murder one of those innocent looking things in order to turn it into stompboxes. Say, what could the ear be useful for? What exactly is the "ear"?

You could easily plead temporary insanity :icon_evil: :icon_twisted:

Was that a new Furby or one of the originals?

an original.

a good idea  i want to try is eq'ing and amping the speaker  to process your guitar, then mic it up in the box. this would simulate (but be actual) a shitty guitar tone coming through that tiny tiny speaker. like it's going through a 5 watt radio. for intros that last a couple of bars sorta thing before the rest of the band kicks in and your guitar comes to full tone.

Actually, there are a number of sites devoted to hacking Furbys that I've seen over the ast few years.  There is a remarkable amount of stuff going on under the hood.  Not quite Lego Mindstorms, but close.  If only they weren't so damn irritating.

That looks like a deleted scene from any of the C.S.I. series of shows.
All that's missing is Grissom and Willows examing the remains with their pocket mag lights!

haha. that's true. you need to invert them to switch the buggers back on! i'm sure he would have just made a button or something to disconnect the power momentarily to reset it. i want to bling up a server case. ohh. actually. there's one beside me.

You should make it take your guitar signal, and spit it back out in furbi language.  It would sound like creepy devil-furbi speak.  Then you could put it back in the body and put red LED's in it's eyes.  AHHHHHH!!!  EVIL FURBI!!!

I absolutely loved the marked off "exhibits"! Funny stuff.
I love the smell of solder in the morning.

I think it would be satisfying enough to just put a jack in each ear and stick a green ringer inside.

And you can guess where the jack goes. :icon_mrgreen:

how exactly do you identify an LDR?  i have several things torn up in the workshop that could have them, and ive been looking at a few pedals that use the LED/LDR combo lately...
