Johan's LA-Light compressor samples

Hey everyone. Here are a couple samples of my build for this pedal. There's a limit (100) for each of the downloads so if it's reached and someone wants to host either, go for it.

It's a bit of overhead mic'd drums played by a friend of mine. I ran the sample with varying amounts of compression, and I think I have the name set accordingly. I remember someone mentioning that the switch changes the ratio at 1:3 or 1:10. Playing bass through it, I found the sound to be more subtle.

Yeah, too bad I didn't have a guitar or bass track laying about. Since I had that drum track though, I figured it'd be better than nothing. I might have to pull out my bass and run it through and record. That'd be really cool though, if you want to set it up in the gallery.

Hey Kerry, Thanks! Got some quickie-takes for you... me on bass. Little rusty, as I don't play regularly (although I probably should if I want to get any better...  )

I think I like the 3rd variation the best, or maybe the last one, for each take. I guess it can be cool to get that "There's a Riot Goin' On" sound sometimes. I'm sure it would sound different too, going thru a different bass. Mine's a P-Bass with flatwounds (as you can hear) and Fralins, going through an Acoustic 360 clone. Enjoy!
