What tremelo?

If I was going to build a tremelo, which one should I go for? Something with a lot of features preferably. Also, a full kit or at least a PCB would be a nice touch. I've looked at the smallbear one which looks good but I just haven't heard much about, and the BYOC one that unfortunately doesn't seem very feature packed. The tremelulous lune seems to get brought up here a lot, but I still don't know much about it. So what should I go for?

I would say go with the Tremulus Lune.  The Small Bear "Tremulous Bear" is  a clone of this sicuit I believe, with a few differences.  The EA sounds nice, but if you want features or tweakability, go with the Tremulus.  I am building one from the PCB at fuzzcentral.ssguitar.com right now.  I think I will be pleased with the results.

The LFO in the Tremolous Bear is pretty different (based on a 555 timer), but the actual tremolo part is rather similiar

both the Tremulus Lune (lots and lots of tweakability) and the EA Trem ( you don't need that LDR, you can still mod a couple of extra features in , listen to Dragonfly's soundclips here http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=51801.0) are both great tremolo pedals

  EA Tremolo is nice.
Tremulous Lune tho does all kinda wierd and cool tremolo attenuations.

Kay Trem - nice and "st-st-st-stuttery"
EA Trem - smooth like an old valve amp trem
Ring frobnicator - Great basic trem & Ring mod ( when it works ! )
Tremulous Lune - "The Daddy"  very tweakable and puts the rest to shame !!

its no secret that I'm a trem lune fan :)  I just like the sound of it. Super tweakable too.

The EH Pulsar. Smooth tremolo like an old fender and has the option of chopper square wave (on/off). People have complained of tick noise out of this one. It's the layout on Tonepad that is wrong. There is a major trace error that creates the ticking. You can see it if you look at Tonepad's schemo @ Q3's collector to R14. On the PCB Q3's collector connects to the wiper of R15. I have the schematic for the original version of the Pulsar and it's very similar to Tonepad's schemo so the fault lies in the PCB. Just cut the trace from Q3's C right before C8 and jumper that trace to R14. Simple, effective, cheap and has great tone.
