Got my Yellow Fasel from Small bear today popped it into my Crybaby (wow its so nice of them to drill the holes ready )

Its a good one not at all microphonic like I worried it may be,  There is a difference in the wah albeit a small one. more noticable when the guitar volume is right up.  What I want to know is what other mods do you guys do apart from adding a Fasel?

I had a look on Google and there are so many each is different and they seem to contradict each other.  I want to make it sound a bit richer almost throaty if thats a good way of describing it.  If anyone knows a good link to a site or a mod thats worth finding out about let me know thanks

Oh and Happy new year

If you want it to get real vocal replace the 33k resistor parallel with the inductor with a 100k.
I am not responsible for your imagination.

Ok I'll give it a try worst way if I dont like it I can switch back  ;)

Another thing you could try is changing the sweep cap from 0.01uF to a 0.015uF cap. That will bring out the mids a little bit more.

I just recently completed a bunch of mods to my Crybaby (the GCB-95 version). This page seemed to be the most helpful. I did pretty much all the mods listed on that page, except installing a new inductor, and I'm very happy with the results.

The "vocal mod" probably made the biggest different. For that, just increase the value of the 33k resistor next to the inductor. Some people go as high as 100k, but I found that a 68k added a nice vocal quality to the tone. A 100k pot would be a cool variation, I think.

The other mod that made a big difference was the midrange mod. There's a 1.5k resistor right below the inductor. I bumped that up to a 2.2k. It gives you more midrange and, most importantly (for me, at least), it really smooths out the sweep of the wah, so you're not just jumping back and forth between highs and lows.

The other mods on that page are good, as well. I swapped out the 0.01uF cap for a 0.022uF to get rid of some of those nasty highs in the stock pedal... ended up with a bassier tone and more balls, more growl, etc. Sounds great.
