my Wah pedal...

...made from scratch, a working wah pedal...




it sounds pretty good, i used Tonepad's loyaut without the vol. mod and replace the 33k + 100k trim pot with a 51k res.
It is far from perfection but it works well ...

(Here it comes) How'd ya make that enclosure? Sheet metal & epoxy, sand & paint?? Was there more to it than that? Very interesting!

...i started with a piece of rectangular seccion alum. tube. Here are some pictures of the process :














the rest is filing, sanding, gluing (2 parts epoxy) and more sanding and yes, painting...

...i was playing a little with this pedal and it seems to be very stable and reliable. This hole project started when i learn that Small Bear didn't have anymore wah shells in stock, i came out whit this idea just to give Tonepad's wah project a try...I really happy with the result...

Now, questions:

How thick was your aluminum stock?  Did you REALLY cut it with a hacksaw as shown in the pictures?  You must have incredible hand-eye coordination if you did!  What kind of blade was that?  Diamond-tipped safecutter's model?  Did you use cutting fluid with it?

Oh, yeah, one more thing:  what are the dimensions (inches, please)?

it about 2.5mm thick, not too hard to cut it with the hacksaw with a regular blade (a really cheap one)...i guess i used some of my own blood as cutting fluid
The dimensions are something like 10.5 x 4 inches...bigger than a regular wah shell.
