I've just been told that I made it into the August 2007 issue of Guitar Player Magazine! (In the "Editor Boy Big 8" section)

I just heard about this at the Parker Guitar forum:

"Hey Paul, I was just reading the new Guitar Player and saw where they gave a nod to your work with Steve Sexton on MySpace. Congratulations and 3 cheers for you!! (August 2007 Guitar Player page 57)"

Cool, huh? Now I need to go get a copy of it somewhere...  :o

Congrats Paul! Your site is great and I actually have the pcb ready to go for the boomerang clone. I just need to get a decent pot....

We are not worthy!   (we all bow and grovel)

Just kidding   :D

I'm not kidding though when I say you deserve the recognition, in fact I wish GP or GW would do a piece on the whole DIY thing - sort of bring it into the light.

BTW, I stumbled across your site by accident and said to myself, COOL!!  And it started me on this incredible hobby - would love to be able to even 1/10 of the stuff you've done.

Seriously, we are not worthy!!!

I will send you my copy after I have read it.  I can scan it and send you that also.

Well, it's about my guitar playing, but the Boomerang is on all of those tunes up there on my page...

It IS nice to get some recognition.  :icon_cool:

A scan would be great. I'm at work right now, so I either have to wait until I get off work, or my wife might get a copy of it before I get off. We'll see....

I was shocked. But very excited at the same time!  :icon_wink:

Wow, congrats!  I read that mag for 10 years, so that would be big for me.

Thanks for the support guys, I sincerely appreciate it.  :icon_cool:

Paul Marossy

Thanks for posting that link tcobretti.

I was having some mixed feelings about the comments until a friend sent me this in an email:

"all publicity is good publicity".   They wouldn't mention you at all if they weren't impressed, and I'm sure you'll be getting a lot more listens, so there's a good chance it'll lead to another opportunity.

Keep cranking, bro."

And the other thought that I had is that he is writing that from a producer point of view as well as from a guitar player point of view. So, I guess it's all good...  :icon_cool:
