Holy Crap! That is a great gift, Do you realise that is the Flange with No Name made by Lovetone!

You have made me a very happy man!

Thank You!

I shall start work on this right away I have a long train journey ahead of me!

soulsonic

That's what I was thinking... I was just looking at the site trying to figure out which one it was, and I finally decided it was most likely that one even though they don't have a pic of it up there.
Check out my NEW DIY site - http://solgrind.wordpress.com

Wow, that's some way to introduce yourself.

Welcome aboard!

excuse me, but what is it?

It seems to be the "Flange with no Name" from Lovetone; like Shed_FX said.

Huge sound made possible by really tall parts list...WHEW...that Flange does Sound like a "?"..
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

nooneknows

if the sound it produces is the one I can hear from the site I'm not that impressed, I hope it's just the high compression rate of the sample.

Jaicen_solo

Is it just me, or does this remind anyone of a recent boutique thread?
I'm not sure i'm comfortable having a possible project of a current production pedal hosted, but then that's me.

Rectangular

all lovetone pedals are currently out of production. if you don't like it, you don't have to build it. for guys like Shed_Fx and myself, this is a christmas present in the middle of august !

Jaicen_solo

In that case it's all gravy! I personally love the Meatball and the Ring Stinger, but I never got round to getting one.

Paul Perry (Frostwave)

It's pretty funny the way Lovetone keeps closing down....... and then reopening!
I don't know the facts, but I suspect it is proof that alternative employment - when available! - pays much better than pedalmaking, even if you have a famous brand like Lovetone.

junkwork

does anyone make a schem?

shawn

I could do a board layout copy using a program that allows reversing scanned boards. All I would need is the actual dimension of the board.

shawn

Any ideas what the ICs could be?

Follow the link above to the Lovetone website and you'll see a copyright symbol with the date 2000 beside it.  Much like Way Huge, the pedals, legend, and e-bay cachet live on, but the business and production side is long since defunct.  The only mouths a builder would be taking food from at this point are those of speculators.

Dan Coggins IS still in the pedal biz, but he has his own company now.  http://www.dinosaural.com/aboutus.asp

analogmike

You can make some fun sounds with that but if you are looking for a flanger sound look elsewhere. It's not really a flanger and the flanging sounds are very weak.

Have fun!

The big one on the main PCB looks suspiciously like a quad opamp. On the following pic on both chips of the delay board there is some labelling left.

Looks like MN.....2 on the right one....the other one also seems to have an M...
However, I think it will be relatively easy to find out which one is driver and which one the BBD once you have identified the supply pins .... :)
I'm pretty sure btw that the LED is a bright green one.

Markus

God bless the guy who posted this information.  I have this pedal and it needs repair... the guy at Dinosaural won't take it back for repairs  :icon_mad: which really pisses me off. If they won't support their product then @#$% 'em, they should make the schematic public so that people can get them repaired. Maybe now I can find someone to fix this thing.

It may not be a real flanger as Mike says, but it's a hella cool pedal with a ton of beautiful and ugly/wild sounds in it.
