I just built my second Ross Compressor.   First one was built from GGG layout worked great.  This one I used the Tonepad layout because it was more compact.   All the voltages are correct but I am having a problem with the level control.  Unless it is up all the way I get a muddy low output sound.   The only thing I did was sub .0068 caps for  three .01 caps.

Okay I swapped the .0068 caps for .015 caps.   Definitely more treble but still has the same issue with the level control.   Muddy sound unless turned up almost all the way.

Did you by any chance measure the resistance of the level potentiometer??? I'm not the pedal guru by any means, but I have racked my brain on stupid things like that. I couldn't find any voltage problems with a Tube Screamer I built, but it had a output level concern. The level pot was fried (measured 1.3 megohm rather than 100Kohm).  Just trying to help out. :)

If this helps, maybe you can help me get MY Ross compressor working. ;D It engages, but no compression whatsoever.
