Dual Feedback Looper????

Is this idea possible?

A dual feedback looper, with the capability of routing the signal of "Loop A" into "Loop B" and vice versa, using a two-way toggle switch. If only one loop is in use, the other is automatically disengaged. There would also be a pot to control the amount of feedback volume going back into the loops.

This would not be for true bypass. Only for noise making, so theirs no need for a true bypass footswitch. When its on, its making noise!!!

routed in which way? like, in > send a > effects > return a > send b > effects > return b > out
and the but have the ability to switch it into this, in > send b > effects > return b > send a > effects > return a > out

yes?

Yes!

in > send a > effects > return a > send b > effects > return b > out
but have the ability to switch it into this, in > send b > effects > return b > send a > effects > return a > out

But make it possible to switch one of them off at anytime and not affect the other.

give me a bit, i should be able to figure this out
may require some odd switches too

Use the "juggler" at geofex; treat effect A and B as Loop A and B.  Voila.

DONE IT! took me alot of thought but i figured it out
here is the schem

and here is a close up of the switching

im not totally sure how to do the "if one is in use only, the other is automatically off" thing though

also, instead of the spst switches, you could use dpdt foot switches, using one side as the feedback off and the other side for an led indicator

Thanks for laying that out! I will give it a try as soon as i find some 4pdt's.

now, when you wanted the loops to be off, did you mean the feedback between each send return (hence the spst switches) or did you mean the whole send return, so completely bypassed
there is a way to do that seperately

there are 4pdt mini toggles somewhere
we have em here in Aus

Thanks for the links!
I wanted the possibility to have any one of them off and out of the signal at any time.
What about adding LED's? That may be too much. Like an LED for each send return to know when their on and an led to know when the looper as a whole is on???

well, this thing is gonna call for a big box
the only way you could bypass either loop involves more switches seperate from the 4pdt, just simple bypass dpdt or 3pdt (with led)
those spst switches can be dpst or dpdt (like i said before) to indicate when the feedback was on and off
when the feedback is off loop becomes an FX loop
this thing will be alot of work....
