Hello, welp I built this beast over the weekend.  Boy howdy it is a monster, Not sure if I have the sustain wired correctly but anyway sustain full left is gobs and gobs of fuzz turn to the right for less fuzz and not sure if this is right but it rolls off some treble also.  Tone pot not really doing anything  I only had a 20K not a 25K can 5K really make that much of a difference??  Last but not least blend control left is full on fuzz and to the right clean, even all the way right has a tiny amount of fuzz so it's not a pure clean signal.  Maybe someone else who has one could comment on some of the features so I know if it's functioning properly.  The build went together pretty well had some pnp issues had to get out the trusty sharpy and I put it in the huge Hammond box recommended a FC didn't really want a huge pedal, but it made putting it together really easy.  Anyway lots of different fuzzes can be had thanks to the blend feature from balls to the wall extreme fuzz to real nice mellow 60's fuzz tone.  Octave up is hidden in the mix not really intense like the Fox tone machine.  I thought the other switch was the octave on but I guess it a tone boost, basically like bottom end or no bottom end.  So there you have go and build one definately a keeper.

I tried to build on of these about a year ago and it didn't work. Unfortunately, it has been one of these projects that I never dug in and tried to debug. It currently sits in the corner on my bench  :icon_rolleyes:. It was also from fuzz central. I've recently pulled out the populated board schematic in hopes of digging in again since I've gained some debuuging knowledge. I's like to see what voltages your getting on the 5 trannies. Do you know about the capacitor that isn't on the board and needs to be wired to one of the pots..I can't remeber but likely the volume pot lug? Let's keep in touch because it's time for me to fix this @#$%er!

It's the blend pot I attached the cap to the blend pot then went to the switch and then from the switch to the output jack.  I reckon thats right.  I have to finish it tonight so I'll check the tranny's.

I'll pull mine out tonight and check my voltages. A quick look at your voltages make me think you have a problem with Q2 & Q3. The emitter and base voltages are to close for the tranny to work.

Hey, ignore my last post about the voltages! I came home from work today and pulled this pedal out from the corner. Boy am I glad I did! I immediately found many problems that I fixed. My voltages are very similar to yours. It's up and running now and reminds me of an Ampeg Scrambler. I find the same deal with the sustain knob like you. Same with the tone, not much change and it is a 25 k pot. I didn't really check it with the blend all the way off. The octave is pretty good, I can see why you state it's not AS pronouced as a Foxx but it's still pretty good. Thanks for your post Zebra! It made me finally take a second look at the pedal and now I can check it off my "to do" list!
