Adding an LED to a SPST foot switch - can I?

I have been toying with the 9volt tube boost that has been on the top of the thread list recently. have it working wonderfully - no sound samples yet - I have been trying the mods for clean sound as I originially wanted it for a clean boost. I did however like the gain it provided as well.

Where i have it now, I put an old spst switch from a crybaby I had modded into the mix. Spare parts lying around

I am using renegadrian's layout. Instead of the wire from lug 2 of the gain pot going to pin three, it switches between pin 3 or going to ground creating a on/off gain. This allows me to play with a clean boost i would leave on and then I can add a bit of gain when I need it. I like the set up and sound right now

What I want to do is add an LED indicator to the switch so I know when the gain is on/off. I tried a couple things last night but no luck. Any suggestions? do I need to use a dpdt switch?

thanks

As far as I know, the only way is to use a dpdt switch. One pole is used to switch between pin 3 and ground, and the other pole switches your led on and off. That's how I would do it, anyway...

Trying to use spare parts...worth an attempt. popping in a dpdt
