so i wanted to build this old design to see how it sounds so i built up a vero layout.  can anyone out there help me verify this?  see anything wrong?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

R6 should be 4.7m.  R8 should be 68k.

Where's the +9v coming in at?  Also the "50K" stuff is confusing.  I see only one pot on the whole schem, and it should be touching/between the emitters of both Qs.  :(

dude, it's great to see people building stuff in my gallery.  there are alot of neat ones in there.

best of luck, let me know how it sounds...

You need to cut the trace between R1 and Q1`s collector.

the 9v comes in at lug 2 of the switch as per the schematicin. it's written in red, i thought that would get peoples attention.
lug 1 and 3 of 50k pot are indeed at the emitters of the transistors.  i'll change the resistor values and make the trace cut.

thanks for the help!

corrections made.   anyone see anything else that jumps out?

foxfire

you need a trace cut between Q1's base and Q2's emitter.

ah yes! thanks.  i'm starting to see the detractions of eating mexican food while designing layouts.   :icon_redface: :)

i  love checking out those old fuzz designs.  who knows you might find something really cool, never know.  most of the stuff i lean towards is of the nasty vintage variety, and i thought this one might fit in.

Ahh, now I see.  The end of the strip coincides with the lug.  Gotcha.  Though "wires" would be less confusing...

Have fun with it!

i tightened it up by a couple two tree tracks for yous guys.

R4 should be 680K. Only R5 is supposed to be 6.8K. And R3 and R4 both lead to Q2's collector, which they should not be. That sucks, because now you have to make a cut between holes instead of over a hole.

rnfr

nah, i'll just add another row.  thanks for the help.

seriously guys- thanks a ton.  i probably shouldve double checked this thing a few times before i put it up.  i feel like i've just thrown up a bunch of parts and let them fall where they may.

rnfr

well. i'm going to try and build this thing up tonight, and hopefully we can give it the old "verified" stamp soon.
