Many many years ago I bought a Redmere Soloist amp. Like this:

Made in '82 or thereabouts
200W output
Built into a flightcase
2 x 12" Celestions
Three channels - Fender, Vox & Marshall emulations
Graphic eq
Reverb (not a spring)
Chorus
Flanger
Overdrive
Noise gate
Kinda programmeable footswitch

From what I can recall, it sounded awesome. I loved it. Weighed a ton though, so I hoofed it out.

Now I have some crazy-nuts plan, which will probably always remain a plan, frankly, to build a replica.

Anybody know anything about them?  It was made by Intermusic, who also made MM and PA:CE mixers and power amps, if that helps.

Failing that, any idea what the prevailing amp sim technology would have been in the very early 80's? MOSFET, maybe?
