Topmay and Panasonic film caps from Smallbear in bags of 100, Metal Film Resistors on Ebay, Ceramic Caps and other parts like transistors and diodes from Mouser, Pots and knobs and IC's from Smallbear, Enclosures 3PDT's and DPDT's from PPP, and I can't think of what else.

Nice find! I just checked them out, the prices look better than Futurlec's. PT2399 ICs for $0.54!

I like smallbear because you can buy multiple values and have them count towards their bulk discount. I don't remember if it's at 10 or at 25, but at some point they become 1$ each. That's cheaper than elsewhere I've seen at least.

Haven't actually tried it yet, so I am not trying to put them down, but I have heard that they are somewhat slow and have made errors on orders more than once.
has this been the standard result for most people?

By removing the 10 pots I needed the shipping went down by about 6$

I will get them from Futurlec ...... I need some stuff from them anyways! There is a lot of stuff Tayda dosn't carrry.

But the prices are amazing......if you watch out for shipping.

Glad I could help...you should have a blast. Funny thing is when the prices are that low and you want to put in a quick order for caps, resistors & trans, it's hard to get to the $5 minimum!

Right, as I wrote in my first post, heavy stuff like pots will jack up the shipping at Tayda. Pots are better from Futurlec since they charge shipping by amount of order, not weight. So when you order from Futurlec, you can get $29 worth of pots with only $4 shipping.

[Note: If you order only 12 pots the price is almost the same at both. Anything over 12 Futurlec wins.]

Unforunately, Futurlec takes 3 times as long for me [I'm in the US]. I get my order in about 2 weeks from Tayda. I put in a [mainly] pot order with Futurlec on Aug 29 and am still waiting. I expect that order very soon.
