It looks like SAM3703 is a ready to go guitar FX module:

Interested in this as a means to achieve what would otherwise be difficult, like clean pitch-shifting, granular synthesis, fancy delays.

But for distortion/od modeling or tremolo, meh..... 

I'd buy a couple if they came pre flashed with pitch-shifting!
