Will this work (bottom wire says 'out'):

I understand everything just needs to get to ground somewhere. I just can't work out in my head if putting the cap between the two grounds of the pots will cause an issue?

The bottom (right as drawn) terminal of "Presence" pot is not "a ground" by itself. With the cap to ground, it is not-groundy for bass, groundy for treble, which makes it some kind of tone control.

The drawing will work.
