Super cheap, and pretty big. I dunno about quality, but it is the Shack. It's really tall, but folded, has anyone thought about cutting it down a bit into a slanted enclosure? Seems like a great fix for that sort of thing
I've eyeballed these enclosures at the shack.......I personally wouldn't use them for test equipment! They're pretty rough looking!
I do wish that some manufacturer/parts source would start making a few sizes of sloped, folded metal enclosures! There is a real void for this type of enclosure.
A sheet metal shop could pop these out for next to nothing!
Hey Steve!.......Small Bear.....Yeah you! Are you taking notes? :icon_wink:
Those were the first enclosures I used waaay back when I first got into DIY. Back in those days Radio Shack did carry a couple of sloped enclosures as well. I've since used them again a couple of times. They're strong enough to step on and smooth enough that using a full face decal is really easy. A couple of examples: http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=99037.msg871979#msg871979 (http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=99037.msg871979#msg871979)
Here's a place that has sloped enclosures: http://www.pedalenclosures.com/Home/tabid/38/language/en-US/Default.aspx (http://www.pedalenclosures.com/Home/tabid/38/language/en-US/Default.aspx)

Yeah, I've seen those guys before. This was just a thought cuz it seemed like a cheap solution for little projects since they're so tall lol

Go get one from Radio Shack and give it a try.
I've visited and looked around on the Pedal Enclosure site a few times.....I like the YY enclosure but I don't like the price! $15.49 plus shipping is a bit steep for a small enclosure.
I personally don't care for the "prism" folded enclosure....it looks like a cheese wedge!
I would like the old EXH type enclosures. Then I could be happy and find peace in this world! :icon_wink:
Allied and Newark and maybe mouser carries those enclosures I know allied and Newark does I've ordered from them!

This would be good for a larger flanger/phaser type build but $26 for a folded metal enclosure? :'(
I'm pretty sure these are the type that pinkjimiphoton uses periodically

Anyone have any suggestions on how to go about this?

You don't like cheese wedges? Are we going to have a problem here?

Mike....you have absolutely too much time on your hands! ::)
Very creative! I would not have thought to make a "cheezy" pedal.
