Post by: deadastronaut on October 28, 2013, 09:19:06 PM

Rob, what are you planning?  :icon_eek:

If you're gonna go all high techy on us with "Force Sensitive Resistors" then you should probably change to SMT also... kill 2 birds with one stone!

edit: I wonder how those would hold up under excessive use and abuse? And, I don't have small feet... :icon_twisted:

Yea this would be great for a delay time control, I hear trippy delay action in my near future. Good find DA! Thanks.

I'm working with one in a delay. If you watch one of the Echorec demos, it shows the guy put his finger on the disc and it slowly slows down the delay, so I'm emulating that with an FSR and a charged cap.

Pressure wah!
That might be cool, but methinks it would be hard to use. You could use a standard wah treadle to compress a spring against one of these FSRs, which might work OK.

I did toy with the idea of using something similar:

Sandwich between two skinny picks (to make a heavy pick) and use it to pressure-control a wah (or anything else).  Squeeze your pick for more effect.  You get the idea...   :icon_biggrin:   Just haven't done anything with it yet, although I did buy a couple.  And cheaper to experiment with than the FSR.
