Title: Where to get Presensitized PCB?
Post by: chicago_mike on September 12, 2014, 06:01:04 PM
So I have been looking on eBay for anything larger than 10cm x 20cm presensitized pcbs...and I really can't find any.

I need 5"x7" or larger. Who do you guys go to for that size? I could drive for an hour to Fry's...but I'd rather not.

MG Chemicals have 6x9 and 8x12' boards available so Digikey or Mouser or other supply houses,  even Amazon.

As Dave said...if you can't find it locally...you can usually find anything online...you just have to wait a bit to receive it.

My only gripe is the price. On evilebay I got 10 pcbs for, I think 15 or 20 bucks. I was hoping to find a similar deal.  :)

I've bought the Kinsten like that from Circuit Specialists from a store in Toronto and i've bought it on ebay out of China and the price difference was minimal but the ebay delivery time was weeks. It did include a small packet of developer but i didn't need that.

A smaller cheap  PP offering, i think everything else is fiberglass and if you're doing a big single pcb i asume you'd want the added strength of fiberglass.

If we speak about PCB's... I've been using Kinsten fiberglass boards, but now I bought a PP (Paper phenolic) type and I like them very much. Cheaper and easier to work with (cutting, drilling...). But how they are an a "long run" vs fiberglass? I have AD80 from the Maxon, and the PCB (PP I think) is very thin but it holds, so I think thicker PP PCB's will not fall apart with the time.
If there are more advantages to the fiberglass?
