Title: Trimpot? Potentiometer? hmmmmm......
Post by: brokenstarguitar on July 23, 2015, 03:36:03 AM
I have a quick question. I'm building an Octavia using the Tone pad layout and want to just make it as simple as possible so can I use trimpots in place of the external pots? Just set it and leave it?

Trimpots can be extremely valuable in case you need a build that should retain a certain degree of tonal options and flexibility - but you want to "nail" a certain perfect setting for a certain amount of time.

You can also use small split-shaf pots mounted inside of your magic-machine for even easier re-tweak of your magic-tone settings if need be.
