I am in need of an extremely low power and small phaser.
Is it possible to make a 2-4 stage single ic phaser, using an ldr instead of the JFETs?
No buffers or active mixing circuits, just the barebone phasing.
Im aware that i would have to mix the signals back together, so i assume some resistor that's bridging over the entire circuit could work?
I don't expect a super deep phaser, any slight noticable effect will be ok.

Now you might ask yourself, why not just build a normal phaser?
I do this to challange myself and do something that not many others before me have done. :)
You'll want an input buffer (one transistor, FET, Opamp, take your pick) you'll need some form of modulation so an LFO, Foot controlled pot or Phase shift oscillator and yes you can use an LDR instead of a FET.
You could get away with a phase shift oscillator which can be built from a single transistor (see the EA tremolo with rate LED mod and use the rate LED as your modulation source) although the rate range will be small, a transistor input buffer and a dual opamp for the 2 phase stages.
Apart from personal challenges, what sort of sonic outcome are you aiming for?
