Title: Want to build a A/B Audio Interface Selector
Post by: XRaided28 on November 10, 2016, 09:41:31 PM
Hi all, I am a new member to the forums. My names Joe...  I'm a beginner at electronics, in my second electronics class my that my colleges audio program offers.

I already have an A/B monitor selector, for my home studio I have 2 different soundcards (Interfaces) I use a 003 Console for Protools and a Focusrite/Audio Box for Logic, Maschine, and FL Stduio. My goal is to build a box that takes the out from the A/B monitor selector and have that running to this box, allowing me to switch from my A(003) and B(other interface).

So I think I need .. 6 Female 1/4 (Stereo = balanced/TRS?) Panel Mounts, and 1 2PDT switch correct?
As far as this goes, Do I just build a basic AB box but basically twice?
If anyone could help as far as the wiring goes, that would be awesome too, I think have a solid idea and understanding and just may be over thinking too much but want to be safe then sorry!
Thanks! and sorry if this is already a topic I didn't have to much time to search the forum.
