I just matched a bag of about 50 2N5457 (to build my LaserWolf)
I also have a bag of about 50 BS170 (any need to match those? What effect uses those?)
Lastly, I have a bag of about 125 J201 (any need to match those? What effects uses those?)
Thanks for helping
I hope the BS170s are in some sort of static-protected bag.
They are now!
This is all stuff I got from the big purchase of a man getting out of the hobby.

I can't help but read this as:
"I hope all of your important papers are stored on dry land instead of floating loose in the ocean."
"They are now!"
:icon_eek:
"I hope . . ."
"They are now."
This could be a whole thread by itself, with many amusing variations. ;D
I can't think of anything that needs matched BS170s. But they're useful for a whole pile of other stuff (e.g. MOSFET boost). And Millennium-2s of course.
You might match J201s in a phaser (or not - let's not go there...), or use them in any number of overdrivey, tubey-sounding circuits (e.g. ROG). Or sell them at vastly-overinflated prices, since they are becoming unobtainium! ;)

BS170 is a MOSFET. You don't see them used much in pedals, except for Millennium bypass.
matched?
2N5457? phaser-ish :-*
J201? wampler-ish, jfet vulcan :icon_cool:
BS170? maybe your own circuit? :icon_mrgreen:
BS170 is a favorite of ZVex, used in many of their gain pedals.
Thanks for the help guys.
