Title: Lovely Squeezer - Fuzzdog pedals - HELP!
Post by: haddocksknees on March 27, 2017, 01:02:17 PM
Hello there!

I'm not a complete noob, I've built quite a few projects but I'm not brilliant when it comes to debugging, I've not chucked anything in the bin yet but I'm very close with this one.

I've recently built a lovely squeezer compressor from http://shop.pedalparts.co.uk/ (http://shop.pedalparts.co.uk/) and I'm getting zero output, nada, zip.

Here's the link: http://pedalparts.co.uk/docs/LovelySqueezer.pdf (http://pedalparts.co.uk/docs/LovelySqueezer.pdf)

I've double checked diode polarity, electrolytic cap polarity, Pots etc and everything seemed ok, I also checked to see if there were any shorts and still everything seemed ok.

So I'm at a bit of a loss and need some help. So below is the schematic with a load of voltage readings which I hope are in the right place. Let me know if they're not, but any help would be appreciated.

Cheers folks!

Edit RTFM Kipper

pins 1,2,3,5,6,7 of the Ic should all be around 4v6 seen at VB.
check your biasing resistors for bad joints R3 R7

Whats the voltages at pin 8 and 4 of the IC?

If you post photos of your build, front and back, one of us might spot something and give some useful insight.

Thankyou both, Pin 8 reads 8.8v and pin 4 reads 0v

I'll post some photos tomorrow

Cheers again

I decided to replace R7 and R3, and whilst I was at it I I thought I would try a different IC.

it only flippin' works!

Thanks for your help, appreciate it.
