Title: KiCad component library
Post by: The_JinJ on July 06, 2017, 07:56:35 PM
Hi

Just starting out on KiCad and so far so good. Does anyone have a library/libraries of pedal building components they'd be willing to share?

Cheers
Neil

I don't use it myself, I'm a DipTrace advocate. Rullywow made a specific DIYstomoboxes library that makes everything super easy.

But anyway, have you checked these?

I highly recommend using digikey kicad lib :-)

I really like these, maybe they can help you too, I say it's worth a try https://github.com/sparkfun/SparkFun-KiCad-Libraries

4ms don't make pedals anymore, but their lib still includes a bunch of stuff you'd find in pedals:

and digikey lib is excellent!

but don't be afraid to create your own footprints for stuff like pots. it's pretty easy to create a footprint based on a datasheet, and it forces you to really learn how much space your components need.
