Title: Klon centaur clone
Post by: ward on September 07, 2017, 07:04:49 AM
Hi,

My centaur klon is giving me headaches,
the pedal is working, the pots are working as should.  Only the gainpot has some scratchiness.

But the big problem is a squeal or oscillation at around 4khz.

This is the layout I used,

This is my reference schematic,

I didn't use any switching scheme.  The pedal is to be controlled with a switcher.  So the output comes directly  from the wiper of the volume pot.

Replace Gain pot, as a start...
(the way the pot is connected may result in oscillation in case of pot set in "scratchy" area..)

I know I read something a long time ago about adding a cap somewhere to take care of whine due to instability.....  I'm still trying to find it.
