I sometimes get requests for the 1/8" shaft Russian pots, which have not been readily available for a long time. There is a CTS pot, available from Digikey, that can be tooled fairly easily to work with the existing knob. I don't know if this work-around is already well-known and I just was not aware of it. See the pic that one of my customers took.

I will have parts posted to sell in about a week. Now ask me about getting the knob cloned; yeah, I will look into getting a mold made.
That was such an easy project to do, if anyone has any questions, I'm the one that did it, and you can reach me through here. :)
Ivan (http://diy-tubes.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=25_29&page=2) has the Russian EHX style knobs, but for 6mm shaft pots.
I glanced briefly at the title and thought it said "Replacement Bots For The Russians" and was a little confused.
Is there any chance you could order similar pots from CTS with the D-shaft as an option?. Just wondering, some companies have versions with different shafts available.

Probably could be done, yes. The problem for me is that their minimum order quantity for made-to-order styles is at least 2,000 pieces. For this repair part, I think the off-the-shelf choice is better

To add to the confusion a little, there is more than one kind of Russian BMP...

Ha! Brilliant ;D
I haven't seen a schematic, but the tone is noticeably different.
Looks like they're from the 60's, may even still be tube powered :P
