Hello,
have a bunch of really good PNP Germaniums and much more NPN Sillicons, so i
looked for a fuzzface type circuit combining the NPN-Silli (Front) with a PNP Germanium (Out).
Anyone some suggestions?
I suppose you could do a Schumann Two Face, but one side Ge and the other Si. The two sides run parallel, but are interactive. It's a real bag of cats.
Then there's the Spaceman Gemini III. Blendable Ge/Si fuzz that's really yummy.
mmmhhh, the pictures of the Schumann disapeared at diystompboxes,
and there is only some layout to be found for the Gemini (really yummie :P-nice soundfiles for this :icon_lol:)
but thats not what I´m looking for, there where some examples (easy ones) for using an npn and a pnp in this fuzzface circuit
(mic preamp) together, direct coupled (found in some older mic preamps/console preamps) but they are very tricky (look the Hudson Broadcast for example).
I think, there must be some easy examples for this kind of circuit,- just like the fuzz face- to put them together....
thanks for your suggestions digi2t ;)
Axis fuzz is other way around, PNP first then NPN. But there's an example.
Yeah Axis fuzz is coooool. I had in on mind, but looking for something more simple (just Fuzz Face :icon_mrgreen:)
found it right now in another new thread:

will try this first and if its not my cup of tee will check a turned Axis with NPN in front and a PNP followed (with neg. supply)
OK, just read "this is a revamped Axis Fuzz" ha, Ha, Ha
Doesn't the "Photonic Juergulator" utilize that? Harmonic Percolator circuit...
