Title: CD4011BM switch
Post by: fretzburner on November 17, 2018, 08:31:35 PM
Just recently opened multi effect pedal using CD4011BM for every momentary switch. Is this chip the one used as switch or just controlling the switch? I don't see any other active component like FET.
Thanks

I have never seen that done and it's never occurred to me that they could be used like that -  but that doesn't mean anything!

If I saw that in a circuit I be scanning for other switch chips (or things that could be used as switches).

Sorry my info is lacking, i saw 2 CM053B chips. This might be the switches used for the four circuits.

Probably some form of CD4053 (spdt type cmos switch)
