Title: SAD1024 Drop-in Replacement for all Electric Mistress Flangers
Post by: MisterMocha on July 19, 2021, 11:35:49 AM
Over the past few month I've been working on a replacement PCB for the Electric Mistress BBD that uses two MN3009 BBDs. The circuit has the two MN3009s in series to get the 512 stages that the Electric Mistress uses along with additional circuitry. I made sure that it sounded identical (to my ears) to the original by building an electric mistress flanger on a breadboard with switches to change from an original SAD1024 and my recreation circuit.

The additional circuitry is used to:

This is to allow me to continue to experiment with Electric Mistress style flangers and to allow others to repair their broken units.

That's pretty neat! After looking at the different schematics of the Mistress and the workings of the SAD1024, I see it's arranged in a way where you could easy use a single MN3004 and get the same sample rate & delay stages - which isn't much different from two MN3009s in series which are currently in production by XVIVE.

Great work!
