Hi guys.
I got hold of a diy clone of the depths.
Not badly built given the finicky lfo issue is well present. Can someone give some background on the lfo quirckyness?
For the record: it's about the LFO shutting down at low rate at high intensity settings. Does feel like that. Or is low rate anyway? Eqd admits it is a characteristic of the circuit.
Looking at the schematic hastly I do not see the reason behind the phenomenon.

Do you mind if I ask at what schematic..?? :icon_mrgreen:

On mine, I had to increase R33(i think) to something like 150k and the LFO no longer locks up at extreme knob positions.
Can't see any weirdness in LFO (other than its circuitry quirky drawing)..
It's just a more "sophisticated" version of a widely used sine wave oscillator, like the one in EA tremolo..
I'd try to significantly lower R14 & R19 values..
(about 70k to GND seem to me high enough..)
and C12 is backwards. [on the circuit I have, cause I still can't see anything posted on imgur.]

thanks antonis. yes, that one, with the cap backwards.

If you're talking about C12, I do agree.. :icon_wink:
