Title: Dunlop Octavio Bass mod?
Post by: Agreco1489 on March 20, 2025, 04:43:27 PM
Hi! New to pedal modding...

Would anyone know how to increase the low end on the Dunlop Octavio?

Would increasing the size of C1 help?

Thanks!

Hi & Welcome..

It's allways helpful to post a schematic diagrama of the circuit.. :icon_wink:

If by C1 you refer on 100nF input cap, its value is already set corner frequency at about 4Hz (rough estimation)..
You might have to check cap values of other LPFs..

That transformer is claimed for 300Hz. That connection cancels the fundamental and generates a 2nd harmonic. There may honestly be very little below 600Hz, and little hope for deeper without redesign and re-investment (bigger iron).
