Title: TAYDA UV Printing Gig Help
Post by: FootSolder on April 18, 2025, 02:49:42 PM
I'm working on a project that requires UV printing from Tayda. I don't use nor do I have access to Adobe Illustrator, so I'm kinda stuck. Is anyone familiar with the process and willing to format the file using the PDF I have of the artwork? Happy to pay for your time. Thanks!

You can edit the PDF using Inkscape, which is a free download. Plus there's a ton of help online for using it, but it's much like any other drawing package, to be honest. Ok, I can't find things occasionally, but the answer is only a search away and I'm pretty sure that the feature I want/need is in there somewhere.

There's a useful blog post here about dealing with Illustrator files
using Inkscape:

Another idea, if this is a one off project, is Adobe Illustrator 30 day trial. That should be enough time to get it done. Pro-tip - a .pdf is a type of Illustrator file (actually an Illustrator file is a type of .pdf) so you can just open the .pdf in Illustrator and go from there.

Some folks worked out how to do this without Adobe Illustrator, using Inkscape and Affinity Designer.

I have had good results doing it this way.
