Tom:
you can direct-link from my webserver, but you have to do so for each picture individually. You've now linked to the directory (which is safeguarded from non-specific acces) so you'll get the page I built automatically. If you open one of those pics, and paste its url between [...img] and [.../img] (without the dots) it will work:

i was hoping to sale/trade some in the future to the pedalpals. this is not to be meant in a negative way. it's been a long day/life.

Nice.  I was wondering, you seem to have a gigantic amount of wire, parts, and equiptment, but I don't always think of Troubled Variance as a huge company (mostly because the kids on the HCFX and GG boards don't have many).  What's it all for?

i'm old school , i'guess.
  i spend more time work'n th'n talk'n. i don't sell the devices they sale themselves. i don't mess around.
we all have our reasons , but i will tell you this young grass hoppers out there.  making device's in the usa hand by hand , is not a phucking
BS line.  this is far from a phucking joke. my factory is over 2000 sg feet
and you ask me >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.
this is a way of life for me .
       crazy and loving it.

Tom's FX are NOT suitable for the kids on HC ... I wouldn't take the popularity of anything there as being indicative of anything, really. You should know better than that, Colin.  ;) Tom is one of those rare people who is fully and sincerely into what he does - none of that 'blue LED' bs, no superficial front, no name-dropping and pretense, just  hard-core dedication and passion. I feel fortunate to know Tom, and Dann Green from 4ms, and feel excited to see what stuff is in the works from troubledvariance!!!!

Tom-

That thing in the corner looks like a Tek scope on a Tek scope cart.
I have one by my desk at work, which I trip over at least twice a
week.  We use Agilent scopes at work now, so the Tek's just sit
there waiting for one of the Agilents to croak.  The Agilent scopes
we have are nice because they have a built in logic analyzer, and
can save screen captures to disk, as well as printing them out.  But
they do cost $5k and up, so I can't afford one of my own. :-)  I
have a crappy 2 channel Beckman @ home... fine for audio, tho.

Not sure what is going on here....I'm guessing that someone made a negative comment?

Whatever. Looks like the perpetrator took down the message.

Tom, are you planning on selling blank enclosures?

I'm going with the scope-on-wheels guess on what that device is....

Some kind of test instrument, anyway. Spectrum analyzer perhaps?

Tom,

Nice artwork! Love the swirly paint jobs on the boxes! How are you making the boxes? Are those made from a piece of channel or are you bending them all from scratch?

Nice looking rig, too. :D

Sounds silly, but you gave me an idea for what to do with all my wire spools. I was going to get some doweling and build brackets, etc, but shoot, I like your "clothes line" idea better. Nice and simple and fast. :D

1. alan and erik are right it's a '60's tektronix SCOPEMOBILE'  in mint condition. it hopes 2 of my scopes.

2. thanx mike, you are truely a brother :D

3. i don't care for other forums { thanx aron, peter, and all the pedalpals and yes even you colin } this not a site for selling my devices. it's a place to hang w/ friends, share, have a fun time, and let my buds know what i have cook'n in the lab.

4. yes, there is a good chance of selling enclosures in the future.

5. clay, those boxes are next to a small zvex, mxr type box and the hammond 1590D 7.38, 4.70,2.05.

If you can make 'em quickly enough that turning out a couple hundred doesn't take you weeks, I bet that people would eat 'em up!

FWIW, I have a basement workshop and it looks a lot like yours... even before I started selling kits (www.drewtronics.com) :) It takes a lot of space to repair synths, which is what I've been doing for a while now.

when i do this it'll be sizes he does'nt carry and i think that's ok. i had these made for me but a lot of people privately emailed me say'n they'd like to buy some , so we'll see. rackmounts will come later. i think you sell some don't you?
