Do i need a special layout to do a Hybrid fuzz? Or can i just plug and play different transistors if my Fuzz face? Any help would be appreciated :)
well the npn caps will need to be reverese for the pnp circuit.
Thanks for the reply.........To clarify i mean using One NON and one PNP in the same circuit...
oops NPN
right i got ya the first time thanks though
Thanks for the help and extended explanantion
In general, no - you can't mix 'n' match NPN and PNP transistors in a standard Fuzz-Face circuit. It's not clear whether you are suggesting substituting a PNP for an NPN or experimenting with different PNPs and NPNs at the appropriate place in the circuit.
Why are you particularly keen to try a PNP / NPN hybrid circuit?

That website has a page dedicated to fuzz stuff (warning: it plays a soundclip and a loud BEEP when you load it):

Thank you blackcorvo, this was exactly that i was looking for :icon_biggrin: :icon_biggrin: :icon_biggrin: :icon_biggrin:
(just one Thread earlier :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen:)
google up tim escobedo's harmonic jerkulator.
there's a lot of fuzzes that use pnp and npn together. the more ya look, the more you'll find ;)
