Title: a rocker controlled phaser
Post by: Narcosynthesis on September 26, 2004, 05:23:53 PM
i was wandering how well this idea would work

basically taking a phaser and mounting it in a wah shell, but then removing the lfo that causes the wh to sweep and replacing it with the rocker on the pedal

is this possible? and how cool do you think it would sound?

They used to be quite popular in the '70s. You usually just need to arrange the rocker pot as a control voltage, and, yes, they do sound cool.

Boss's PH-2 or PH-3 accepts an expression pedal =)

It sounds really good to my ears - I've done some modded infinitphases that work with a Boss EV5. In some ways it is better than wah because you don't lose all your bass and treble with the bandpass filter.

Title: .POWER PHASER

I belive the one I'm working on is name POWER PHASER.
does this schematic of the PRO PHASER have something [..alot..maybe like added "POWER" section...boost?]
I've been trying to wrangle any information I can about the Power Phaser...looks like there could be alot of similarities, Like all the Lamps Opamp and LDR's...Now that I have this schem, Ill have to do some comarisons.
