Title: Merry Christmas -- Here is a boss cs-3 mod for you for free!
Post by: wampcat1 on December 24, 2004, 11:48:53 PM
Merry Christmas!!
I just wanted to give you all something, and I know most don't like the boss cs-3 compressor. Here is an excellent mod to turn it into a boutique sounding, and reacting compressor. This is an update from my previous cs-3 mods, and IMO is 10x better than any ross type compressor I've ever played on. In fact, I have a soundclip of the cs-3 and the ross compressor comparison that will be on the website soon.

Here is the link to download the cs-3 mod:
**edit** Sorry, this was a Christmas present for forum member, and the offer is now over. New present this Christmas season! **

Enjoy--Merry Christmas!!

Thanks,
Brian

Great, thanks! I'm definitely gonna give it a shot. Maybe I can get my CS-3 off the shelf and back on the board.

Brian,
Thank you very much! I have a CS-3 that hasn't been used too much; it seemed to work decently well with my old Squier Affinity Strat into a Rogue SS amp, but when I upgraded everything to a proper tube amp and MIM strat, it just lacked something. I'll try this mod on it as soon as I'm back to school.

Merry Christmas!

Do a VERY in depth search in this forum, there is a working link somewhere. ;)
I respect that Brian's offer is over so I can't send you the mods.

Just to give wampcat an attaboy once again on the cs-3 mod, thats a serious good sounding compressor I have in my pedal chain now :). Next thing I have to do is attack my hm-2. Now I really havent  any issues with it and I think its a good sounding pedal but if there is something I could do to it in comparison to the results I obtained with the cs-3 I wouldnt hesitate.
