Title: Glitchy Sound
Post by: Erocku on March 23, 2005, 09:25:03 PM
I was wanting a recommendation for a schematic to build something real glitchy/atari/computer/nintendo sounding, much like these... http://www.fxdoctor.com/8bit.html or http://midfielectronics.com/

Thanks

You don't need a stompbox for that Nintendo sound!

Just listen to that stuff for a few hours a day and it will come out in your playing. That Super Mario clip didn't sound particularly authentic, but I'm more of a 16-bit era guy myself - I'll listen to the SNES game *Earthbound* soundtrack (Hip Tanaka) for days at a time. Listening to the *Chrono Trigger* soundtrack now ( Yasunori Mitsuda). I guess I'm just a general videogame music geek.

There's some Really Great Stuff on some of those early Mario "Albums".
We used to have great laughs attempting that Do.. do do....Da,Do,D,De
Luigi's castle...M3 Album...impossible on guitar, great song though.
