Title: Rangemaster low volume help
Post by: AmpliFuzz on April 26, 2005, 02:25:09 AM
I built the PNP negative ground version from Tonepad with the component values from Dragonfly's layout. I used a AC125 (only PNP Ge I could find in town :|). It's pretty amazing-sounding but at full volume the gain is slightly above unity. It's the tranny's fault or I did something else wrong?

It is impossible to tell that from the information you have given us.
See the sticky "What to do when it doesn't work" and give us more.

I finished the rangemaster a couple of days ago. I tried like 20 different Ge transistors,  and with some of them i had more volume than with others.
